Our Beliefs

We believe and profess:

• The Canonical books of the Old and New Testament to be the highest authority for guiding our faith and life.
• The three ecumenical creeds namely: The Apostles’ Creed, The Nicene creed and the Athanasian Creed.
• The documents of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Book of Concord of 1580 which, as correct expressions of Biblical faith, form the basis of our confessional statements and doctrines:
  • the unaltered Augsburg Confessions;
  • Martin Luther’s Catechisms
  • the Smalcald Articles;
  • The Formula of Concord
• The unity of God the father, the son and the Holy Spirit.
• The miraculous human life of the Son of God, His divine being, His intercession for us and His eternal Kingdom.
• The salvation of sinners through faith in Christ Jesus alone.
• The work of the Holy Spirit in turning sinners to Christ in sanctifying them.
• The immortal soul of human beings and the resurrection from the dead.
• That our Lord Jesus Christ will judge the world with eternal blessings for believers and eternal punishment for the wicked.
