Our
Beliefs
We believe and
profess:
- The Canonical
books of the Old and New Testament to be the highest authority for guiding
our faith and life.
- The three ecumenical
creeds namely: The Apostles Creed, The Nicene creed and the Athanasian
Creed.
- The documents of
the Evangelical Lutheran Church in the Book
of Concord of 1580 which, as correct expressions of Biblical faith,
form the basis of our confessional statements and doctrines:
- the unaltered
Augsburg Confessions;
- Martin Luthers
Catechisms
- the Smalcald
Articles;
- The Formula
of Concord
- The unity of God
the father, the son and the Holy Spirit.
- The miraculous
human life of the Son of God, His divine being, His intercession for
us and His eternal Kingdom.
- The salvation of
sinners through faith in Christ Jesus alone.
- The work of the
Holy Spirit in turning sinners to Christ in sanctifying them.
- The immortal soul
of human beings and the resurrection from the dead.
- That our Lord Jesus
Christ will judge the world with eternal blessings for believers and
eternal punishment for the wicked.
