St. Paul Lutheran Parish is the main Evangelical Lutheran Parish in the main Lutheran Presence in the Kanifing and Banjul Municipalities. The Trinity Lutheran Church Parish is situated at Kembujeh near Brikama in the Kombo Central District in the west coast region of The Gambia. The Parish is set up in the midst of largely the Balanta , Manjago and the Madinka people . The major economic activity is peanut cultivation and the women and children mostly do the selling and are also involved in backyard gardens for their living. The area a predominant Muslim area, but today over 150 candidates are baptized members to Christ. The people are now seeking to build a permanent structure for their church. |
